The JJC LH-83J Bayonet Lens Hood is designed for CAN. EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM lens. It helps prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. It is crafted from ABS plastic and features a non-glare matte finish on the interior surface to limit lens flare further. The hood allows you to put on a Ф77mm filter and lens cap.
The petal shape of this lens hood maximizes the amount of hood coverage for the minimum amount of weight and hood area. Since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of extra protection from accidental impact. In addition, the bayonet mount is designed to work in the reverse position, allowing the hood to be placed backward over the lens for more compact storage.
JJC LH-83J replaces CAN. EW-83J lens hood. No vignetting will show with the hood on.
