Lighting Control Kit

   JJC FK-9 professional lighting control kit allows you use your standard shoe mount flash to achieve studio-quality. The Snoot lets you control the angle and spread of your lighting. If you want to further direct your light and have even softer edges, you can use the 2" Honeycomb Grid that already be attached to the snoot. The 2.5" Honeycomb Grids are designed to produce 3 different sizes of light spread (Small, Medium and Large). The Softlight Diffuser helps you get rid of harsh light and hard shadows. The 3.5" Square Filter Holder allows you mount square filters(not included) to it. The Softbox provides soft light to the subject which is why almost every studio photographer uses it. The Softbox works in situations where bare flash is too powerful, but you still want to control the direction of your lighting. The two size of Flash Mounting Rings with velcro anti-slip band allow you mount the Snoot, 2.5” Honeycomb Grids, Softlight Diffuser, Softbox, 3.5" Square Filter Holder to the flash head. The provided Mount Rings with velcro anti-slip band make this set can be used on most flashes. This kit is particularly useful for portrait photographers to prevent harsh light and hard shadows.

Compatibility

If your flash head is approximately 49mm wide, and the length is below 76mm, the large flash mount ring will fit well for your flash.

If your flash head is approximately 38mm wide, and the length is below 78mm, the small flash mount ring will fit well for your flash.

Snoot

The Snoot lets you control the angle and spread of your lighting. Use a Snoot to isolate the light on your subject, ensuring that stray light does not appear where it is undesirable. If you want to further direct your light and have even softer edges, use the Honeycomb Grid that attaches to the Snoot. 

Filter Holder

If you are working with mixed lighting, the filter holder will prove to be an invaluable tool. For example, if the room lighting is tungsten (3200k) orange, use an orange filter (not included) over your flash and let your camera adjust the color temperature to daylight.

Softlight Diffuser

Attach this if you are looking to provide diffused light to a large area. The Softlight Diffuser is great for shooting groups or when you want the entire room to be lit without hotspots. 

Collapsible Softbox

Softboxes provide diffused yet directional light which is why almost every studio photographer uses them. The Softbox works in situations where bare flash is too powerful, but you still want to control the direction of your lighting. If you are using the Softbox on camera, make sure that it does not appear in your photo by either slightly angling the flash for bounce or using a lens with greater magnification.

Honeycomb Grids 

The Honeycomb Grids were designed to produce 3 different sizes of light spread (Small, Medium and Large). Stack two grids together will produce the small spots of light. For medium size spots of light just insert the larger size grid into the bezel. Insert the smaller grid into the bezel to produce large size spots of light.

To insert a grid, align the grooves on the side of the grid with the corresponding alignment ridges on the inside of the grid bezel. Firmly push the grid into the bezel until it comes to a complete stop. 

To remove the grid, simply push it back out of the bezel.

This kit has two Honeycomb Grids which differ slightly in their effect. The stand-alone one is used for isolating your light, like the Snoot, but the edges of your lighting will be much softer. The Honeycomb which is attached to the Snoot is almost exactly in between the light spread and diffusion of the Snoot and the stand-alone Honeycomb Grid.
